Getting There

Walking
If you are staying in Thamel, start by heading south on Tridevi Marg. Walk until you reach the intersection with Kantipath. Turn left on Kantipath and continue walking until you reach the Narayanhiti Palace Museum. From there, continue straight until you reach the Bagmati Bridge. Cross the bridge and keep walking straight until you reach the main road. At the junction, take a right turn onto Trishuli Highway. Follow the highway for about 5 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Nagarjun Forest Reserve on your left.

From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop on the corner of Tridevi Marg and Chaksibari Marg. Board a local bus heading towards Balaju. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Balaju. Once you arrive at Balaju, transfer to another bus heading towards Nagarjun. This bus will take you directly to Nagarjun Forest Reserve. Make sure to ask the conductor to notify you when you reach your stop.

If you prefer a bike ride, you can rent a bicycle in Thamel. Head north on Tridevi Marg and take a right onto Kamaladi Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with New Baneshwor.
