Walking
From the center of Kathmandu, head towards the Ratna Park area. You can take a local bus or walk to the bus stop near Ratna Park. From there, catch a bus heading to Bhaktapur. The bus ride will take you approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Bhaktapur, get off at the main bus station. From the bus station, you can either take a taxi or walk towards Namobuddha. If walking, head east on the main road, following the signs towards Namobuddha, which should take about 1 hour. Keep an eye out for local landmarks or ask locals for directions if needed.
Cycling
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kathmandu. Start your journey from Thamel, heading east towards the Ring Road. Follow the Ring Road until you reach the Bhaktapur entrance. From Bhaktapur, continue riding towards Namobuddha. The cycling distance is about 20 km and will take roughly 1-1.5 hours depending on your speed. Make sure to remain cautious of traffic and follow local cycling rules.
Microbus
From Thamel, walk to the nearest microbus stop, which is usually located near the tourist bus park. Look for a microbus that has 'Bhaktapur' written on the front. Board the microbus and enjoy the ride, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Bhaktapur, get off at the main bus station. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi towards Namobuddha, which is about a 30-minute journey.
