Walking
If you are in Thamel, start by walking towards the Ratna Park. From Ratna Park, head southeast until you reach the intersection with Durbar Marg. Turn right onto Durbar Marg and continue straight. You will reach the Nepal Tourism Board office on your left. Continue walking straight, and you will eventually reach the Patan Durbar Square area. From there, head towards the Bagmati River and cross over to Thapathali. Continue along the riverbank, and you will soon see Thapathali Durbar on your left.

From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop and board a bus heading towards Lagankhel. Make sure to inform the conductor that you want to get off at Thapathali.
