Getting There

    From Thamel, head east on the main road (Tridevi Marg) towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kaldhara Marg. Take a left onto Kaldhara Marg and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Bagmati River. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge and continue straight onto Boudha Stupa Road. Follow the road until you see the large white dome of Boudhanath Stupa ahead of you.

    From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop on the main road and take a micro bus or local bus heading towards Boudhanath. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Boudhanath. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs leading to Boudhanath Stupa, which is just a short walk away.
