Getting There

Walking
From anywhere in Thamel, head towards the main road, Tridevi Marg. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the busy street, Ratna Park. You'll know you're there when you see the large roundabout and the park area. Continue straight on the main road, passing by the National Museum on your left. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach a large gate and a guard station. This is the entrance to Narayanhiti Royal Palace. Note that the palace is open for visitors from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.

Local Bus
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a local bus from Thamel. Head to the nearest bus stop on Tridevi Marg. Look for a bus heading towards 'Narayanhiti'. The fare is quite cheap, usually around NPR 20-30. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, follow the crowd towards the entrance of the palace, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
