Public Transportation
From Kathmandu, take a bus or jeep to Arughat. Buses leave regularly from the Gongabu Bus Park, which is the main bus terminal in Kathmandu. The journey takes approximately 6-8 hours and costs around NPR 500-1000. Once in Arughat, you can find local jeeps that go to Soti Khola, the starting point of the Manaslu Circuit trek. The jeep ride takes about 2-3 hours and costs around NPR 300-500.

From Soti Khola, begin your trek towards Larkya La Pass. The trek typically takes about 10-12 days, depending on your pace and acclimatization. Ensure you have a guide or join a trekking group, as navigation can be challenging in the higher altitudes. Key stops along the way include Machha Khola, Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Samagaon, and Larkya Phedi. Each of these stops offers guesthouses for accommodation.

Trekking to Larkya La Pass
From Larkya Phedi, the trek to Larkya La Pass is the final stretch. Start early in the morning to reach the pass before the weather changes. The trail is steep and takes about 3-4 hours to reach the pass. At an altitude of 5,160 meters, be prepared for cold temperatures and possible snow. After enjoying the stunning views at Larkya La, you can descend back to Larkya Phedi or continue to Bimtang for the night.

Return Journey
To return from Larkya La Pass, trek down to Bimtang and then continue your trek back to Soti Khola via the same route. This will take around 5-6 days. Once back in Soti Khola, find a jeep to take you back to Arughat, and then take a bus back to Kathmandu. Make sure to plan your return in advance, as transportation can be limited depending on the season.
