Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the main square of Namche Bazaar, head south towards the path leading to the Everest View Hotel. You will follow the signs that direct you towards the main trekking routes. As you walk, you'll pass by various shops and lodges, which can be a great opportunity to explore local crafts and snacks. Continue uphill for about 15 minutes until you reach a viewpoint overlooking the valley. This is a perfect spot for pictures.

    From the viewpoint, continue along the trail that wraps around the hillside. The path will be marked and you will see locals hiking as well. Keep an eye out for the famous stupa which is a significant landmark. You're about 20 minutes away from the heart of Namche Bazaar now. The path will lead you through a pine forest, providing a serene atmosphere.

    After exiting the forest, you will come to a junction. Here, take the left path which leads directly into the main area of Namche Bazaar. You will see signs pointing towards various lodges, cafes, and the local market area. This last stretch is about 10 minutes and will bring you right into the bustling center of Namche Bazaar.
