Getting There

Walking
From the center of Namche Bazaar, head towards the Everest Base Camp Trekking Route. You can start at the Namche Bazaar main market area, where you'll find the main trail. Follow the signs for Everest Base Camp (EBC). The trail will take you past several tea houses and shops. Continue walking uphill, and after about 10-15 minutes, you will reach the viewpoint of Everest (the first viewpoint). Keep following the trail as it winds through the scenic landscape. The trek takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace, and you will encounter stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

As you continue along the trail, you will pass through lush forests and small villages. You may see prayer flags and Mani stones along the way, which are markers of the local culture. Make sure to take breaks as needed, and enjoy the breathtaking views. After about an hour of walking, you will reach the village of Thamo, where you can rest and enjoy some refreshments if needed. From Thamo, continue on the same route toward Everest Base Camp. Keep an eye out for the correct path as there may be multiple trails.
