Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Namche Bazaar, head towards the Namche Monastery, which is visible on a hill. Follow the main trail leading out of Namche Bazaar, heading downhill. You will pass several shops and lodges. Continue on this trail for about 30-40 minutes. You will reach a junction where the path splits. Take the left path that leads towards the Jorsalle area. Keep walking for another 20-30 minutes on this trail, which will gradually descend and lead you through beautiful forests. Eventually, you will arrive at the Jorsalle Entrance Gate of Sagarmatha National Park, marked with a large sign.

    Alternatively, if you are near the Namche Bazaar view tower, start by walking to the view tower first. From the view tower, head back towards the main trail and follow the same route as described above. This route offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and will lead you to the Jorsalle Entrance Gate.
