Car
If you are driving, head towards Phungling from any major city in Province No. 1, such as Biratnagar or Dharan. From Biratnagar, take the Biratnagar-Pakhribas Road and continue towards the east until you reach the junction for the Mechi Highway. Take the Mechi Highway heading north toward Phungling. Once in Phungling, follow the signs to Pathibhara Marg. The temple is located at CQH9+J7W, Pathibhara Marg. Parking is available near the temple, but be prepared for a short walk uphill.
Public Transportation
To reach Pathibhara Devi Temple using public transportation, take a bus from Biratnagar or Dharan to Phungling. Buses and microbuses frequently operate on this route. The fare is typically around NPR 200-400 depending on the bus type. Once you arrive in Phungling, you can hire a local taxi or use a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'bato ko taxi') to reach the temple's base. The taxi fare should be around NPR 300-500 for the short trip. From the drop-off point, it’s a short uphill walk to the temple.
Trek
For the adventurous, a trek is an option to reach Pathibhara Devi Temple. From Phungling, you can start a trek that will take about 1-2 hours depending on your pace. The path is well-marked, but it can be steep in places. Make sure to wear comfortable trekking shoes and carry enough water. This option not only gives you a closer experience with nature but also offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
