Public Transportation

For those using public transport, take a bus from major bus terminals in Province No. 1, like Biratnagar or Ilam. Buses run frequently to Ilam. From Ilam, you can find local microbuses or shared vehicles heading to Phidim. The fare is usually around NPR 200-300 to Ilam and NPR 100-150 to Phidim. After reaching Phidim, you will need to hire a jeep or take a trekking guide service to Sandakphu. The jeep ride from Phidim to Sandakphu will cost approximately NPR 2000-3000 per person, depending on the group size.
