Car
If you are driving to Valley View Point, start your journey from a major city in Province No. 1, such as Biratnagar or Dharan. From Biratnagar, take the East-West Highway (Mahendra Highway) towards Itahari. After about 15 km, take the exit towards Dhankuta on the Dhankuta-Damak road. Continue on this road until you reach the fork at Khandbari, then follow the signs towards Sandakphu. The final stretch to Valley View Point is on an unnamed road leading into Singalila Forest. Make sure to have a GPS or a map app handy for navigation, as the last few kilometers may have limited signage. Parking may be available near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
To reach Valley View Point by public transport, you can take a bus from Biratnagar or Dharan to Dhankuta. Buses run frequently and are generally affordable, costing around NPR 200-300. From Dhankuta, you will need to hire a jeep or a local taxi to take you closer to Valley View Point. The jeep ride will take about 1-2 hours and can cost around NPR 1500-2000 depending on the negotiation. Ensure to confirm if the jeep will take you directly to the viewpoint or to a nearby drop-off point, from where you may need to walk a bit.
