Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town in Seti Zone, which is Nepalgunj. Head west on the Mahendra Highway (also known as the East-West Highway) towards Bardiya National Park. Continue driving for about 60 km until you reach the entrance of Bardiya National Park. From the park entrance, follow the signs for Tinkune View Point, which is approximately a 30-minute drive into the park. The last stretch may involve unpaved roads, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Ensure you have a reliable vehicle and check the road conditions beforehand.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Tinkune View Point via public transportation, take a bus from Nepalgunj to Bardiya National Park. Buses leave frequently from the Nepalgunj bus station. The journey takes about 2 hours and costs around NPR 200-300. Once you arrive at the Bardiya National Park entrance, you can hire a local jeep or rickshaw to take you to Tinkune View Point. This ride will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around NPR 1000-1500. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand.

• Walking/Hiking

  For adventurous travelers, if you're already in Bardiya National Park, consider hiking to Tinkune View Point. After entering the park, you can ask for directions to the viewpoint at the visitor center. The hike is approximately 5 km and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours on foot. This route offers a chance to experience the park's wildlife and natural beauty up close. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and carry sufficient water.
