To get to the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge) in Amsterdam from the center of Amersfoort, start by walking to the Amersfoort train station, which is located at Stationsplein 1. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Centraal Station, exit the station and head towards the Damrak street, which leads into the heart of Amsterdam. Continue straight until you reach Dam Square. From Dam Square, head southeast toward Warmoesstraat. Continue on Warmoesstraat which will turn into Kloveniersburgwal. Follow Kloveniersburgwal until you reach the intersection with the Amstel River. Turn right onto the Amstel and walk along the river until you see the Magere Brug, a beautiful wooden bridge that is one of the most famous landmarks in Amsterdam.

From Amersfoort, make your way to Amersfoort train station located at Stationsplein 1. Buy a train ticket to Amsterdam Centraal Station. The journey lasts approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal Station, exit and board tram line 14 towards the Flevopark. Get off at the stop called 'Utrechtsestraat'. From there, walk southeast on Utrechtsestraat until you reach the Amstel River. Cross the river at the bridge, and the Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge) will be just ahead. This route combines both train and tram for a quick and easy journey.
