Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are near Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the city center. Walk straight along the Damrak street, which leads you directly into the heart of Amsterdam. Continue walking until you reach Dam Square. From Dam Square, head northeast toward the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. After about 5 minutes, you will reach the Spui square. Once at Spui, take the first left onto the Warmoesstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Oudezijds Voorburgwal. Turn right onto Oudezijds Voorburgwal and walk for about 10 minutes. You will see Melkmeisjesbrug on your left, just before you reach the intersection with the Herengracht canal.

  • Tram

    From Amsterdam Central Station, board tram line 4, 14, or 24 towards 'Oost' or 'Zuid'. Get off at the 'Dam' stop. From there, walk towards Dam Square and follow the same walking directions provided above (head northeast to Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, then to Spui, left on Warmoesstraat, right on Oudezijds Voorburgwal). Melkmeisjesbrug will be on your left.

  • Bike

    Rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops near Amsterdam Central Station. Once you have your bike, head out of the station and cycle towards the Dam Square. From Dam Square, take Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and then turn left onto Spui. Continue cycling on Warmoesstraat, then turn right onto Oudezijds Voorburgwal. After a short ride, Melkmeisjesbrug will be on your left side just before the Herengracht canal.
