Car
From Zaanse Schans, begin your journey by heading southeast on the Zaanse Schans road. Merge onto the A8 highway and follow it for approximately 10 kilometers. Take the exit towards the A10 ring road, and continue on the A10. Follow the signs for A1 towards Amsterdam. After about 10 kilometers, take exit 14 for S113 towards Amsterdam-Oost. Continue on the S113, which will lead you directly into the heart of Amsterdam. Once you reach the city center, look for signs for IJburg or IJeiland, and you will find parking areas nearby. Note that parking may incur costs, typically around €5 per hour.

Public Transportation
Start by taking a train from Zaandam Station to Amsterdam Central Station. The train ride takes about 17 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central, transfer to tram line 26 towards IJburg. Get off at the stop called 'IJeiland' which is the final stop on the tram line. The tram ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Be sure to check the GVB website or app for current tram schedules, as they can vary. A single ticket for the tram costs around €3.20.
