Getting There

Car
From Zaanse Schans, head southeast on the N246 road towards Amsterdam. Continue for approximately 20 km until you reach the A10 ring road. Take the exit onto A10 towards Amsterdam-Zuidoost. After about 5 km, take exit 14 for S113 towards Amsterdam-Centrum. Follow S113 and then take a left onto the IJburglaan. After about 1 km, follow the signs for KNSM Island. There is limited parking available on the island, so be prepared to find street parking nearby.

Public Transportation (Train & Tram)
From Zaanse Schans, walk to the nearest bus stop and take Bus 391 towards Amsterdam. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station. From there, take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station (about 7 minutes). Once at Centraal Station, exit and catch tram line 26 towards IJburg. Ride the tram for about 15 minutes and disembark at the KNSM Island stop. From there, it's a short walk to the island.

From Zaanse Schans, take Bus 391 towards Amsterdam. Get off at Amsterdam Amstel Station (approximately 35 minutes). From Amstel Station, take Metro line 51, 52, or 53 towards Amsterdam Centraal. Get off at Amsterdam Centraal and transfer to tram line 26 towards IJburg. Ride the tram for about 15 minutes and get off at the KNSM Island stop. A short walk will take you to the island itself.
