If you are traveling by car within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, head to Lakeshore Road in Boulder City, NV. From the Hoover Dam, take U.S. Route 93 North and follow the signs for Lake Mead. After approximately 10 miles, you will see signs for Lakeshore Road. Turn left onto Lakeshore Road, and continue for about 5 miles. The Sunset View Scenic Overlook will be on your right. There is no entrance fee required specifically for the overlook, but be advised that there is a fee for entering the National Recreation Area, which is $25 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.
