If you are driving from South Lake Tahoe, head southeast on US-50 E toward Stateline. After approximately 2.5 miles, take the exit toward CA-89 S. Merge onto CA-89 S and continue for about 4 miles. Look for signs for Fallen Leaf Lake and turn right onto Fallen Leaf Lake Road. Follow this road for about 1.5 miles, and you will arrive at the parking area for Fallen Leaf Lake.
Public Transportation
To reach Fallen Leaf Lake using public transportation, you can take the Tahoe Transportation District (TTD) Route 50 bus from South Lake Tahoe. Board the bus at any TTD stop and ride to the 'Stateline' transfer point. From there, transfer to the Route 18 bus toward 'Emerald Bay'. Get off at the 'Fallen Leaf Lake' stop.
