Car
If you are driving from South Lake Tahoe, head northeast on US-50 E. Continue on US-50 E for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with I-580 N. Take the exit onto I-580 N towards Reno. Stay on I-580 N for approximately 15 miles, then take exit 43 for Carson St. Merge onto N Carson St and continue for about a mile. The Nevada State Museum will be on your left at 600 N Carson St, Carson City, NV 89701.
Public Transportation
To reach the Nevada State Museum by public transportation, first take the 'Tahoe Transportation District' bus from South Lake Tahoe to Carson City. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop to your location and make sure to check the schedule for the latest departure times. Once you arrive at the Carson City bus terminal, transfer to the local bus service (Carson City Bus) that goes to the museum. You will want to get off the bus at the stop closest to 600 N Carson St. The museum is just a short walk from the bus stop.
