If you're driving, make your way to Kancamagus Highway (NH Route 112). From the center of the Lakes Region, take NH-25 East towards the town of Wolfeboro. Continue on NH-25 until you reach the junction with NH-16 North. Take NH-16 North and then merge onto Kancamagus Highway (NH-112) toward Albany. Rocky Gorge Scenic Area will be on your right side after approximately 18 miles on Kancamagus Highway. Look for signs indicating the scenic area, and there is a designated parking lot available.

While public transportation options are limited in this rural area, you can utilize the Concord Coach Lines service to travel from Boston or Concord to the nearby town of Lincoln, NH. Once in Lincoln, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Rocky Gorge Scenic Area, as there is no direct public transit to the site. The distance from Lincoln to Rocky Gorge is about 18 miles, so be prepared for this additional transportation step.

For the more adventurous, biking to Rocky Gorge Scenic Area is also an option. Ensure you have a bike suitable for road riding. From the Lakes Region, you can follow the same route as cars via Kancamagus Highway. Biking can be quite scenic but prepare for some hilly terrain.
