If you're driving from the Appalachian Trail, take the nearest major road towards Sussex, NJ. For example, if you're near the Delaware Water Gap area, take I-80 E towards NJ-15 N. Then merge onto NJ-15 N and continue until you reach the junction with County Rd 565. Turn right onto County Rd 565. The Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left at 1547 County Rd 565. There is no entrance fee, and parking is available on-site.
