Car
From the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head east on Pleasant Plains Road. After about 2 miles, merge onto NJ-24 E. Continue on NJ-24 E for approximately 5 miles. Take the exit for I-287 N towards Morristown. After about 3 miles, take exit 35A for NJ-510 W/Madison Ave. Continue on Madison Ave for about 2 miles, then turn right onto Speedwell Ave. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will reach Speedwell Lake Park on your left.

From the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, the nearest public transportation option is to take a taxi or rideshare service to the Morristown train station. Once at the Morristown station, you can take a NJ Transit train on the Morris & Essex line towards New York Penn Station. Get off at the Morristown station. From there, you can take a local bus (NJ Transit bus 873) towards the area. Get off at the stop for Speedwell Lake Park, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
