If you are driving, head southeast on Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge's main road towards Route 202. Merge onto Route 202 South and continue for about 5 miles until you reach Route 287. Take the exit for Route 287 South towards New York City. Continue on Route 287 for about 15 miles, then take exit 14A to merge onto I-78 East toward Newark. After approximately 8 miles, take exit 58 for I-95 North. Follow I-95 North and merge onto I-295 North, then take exit 14B to merge onto I-76 East. Continue on I-76, then merge onto I-95 North towards New York City. After about 15 miles, take exit 17 for FDR Drive North. Continue on FDR Drive until you reach East 23rd Street exit. From there, turn left onto 23rd and then right onto Union Square West. The Union Square Greenmarket will be on your left at the intersection with East 17th Street.

To get to Union Square Greenmarket via public transportation, start by locating the nearest NJ Transit train station. Take a train on the Morris & Essex Line heading towards New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, follow the signs to the subway. Take the A, C, or E subway lines from 34th Street-Penn Station heading downtown. Transfer at 14th Street to the L train towards Brooklyn. Alight at the 1st stop, Union Square. Exit the station and walk north on Union Square West towards East 17th Street. The Union Square Greenmarket will be straight ahead at the intersection.
