Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Metro-North Railroad station located at 2 Railroad Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830. Purchase a ticket to New York City, specifically to the 42nd Street - Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit.

Once you exit Grand Central, walk to the Grand Central - 42nd Street subway station. Take the S (Shuttle) train towards Times Square. Get off at the Times Square-42nd Street station. From there, transfer to the 1 train (Red Line) towards South Ferry. Travel two stops and get off at the 34th Street - Penn Station. From Penn Station, you can either walk or take the 1 train downtown to 14th Street - Union Square.

After getting off at 14th Street - Union Square, exit the subway station and walk east towards Broadway. Once you reach Broadway, turn left and walk north for about 10 minutes. The Strand Book Store will be on your right at 828 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.
