From the center of Red Bank, head east on Broad Street towards the Navesink River. Continue straight until you reach the train station at the intersection of Broad Street and West Front Street. Walk towards the train station and catch a NJ Transit train heading to New York City. Get off at the New York Penn Station. From there, transfer to the subway and take the 1, 2, or 3 line to Times Square. At Times Square, transfer to the A or C subway line and take it to 59th Street - Columbus Circle. At Columbus Circle, transfer to the N, Q, R, or W line and take it to 5th Avenue - 59th Street. Exit the station and walk northeast towards Central Park. The Balto Statue is located in Central Park, specifically at East Drive, near the entrance to the park.

From Red Bank, walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop on Broad Street and take the bus heading towards New York City (look for buses marked with 'NYC' or 'Port Authority').
