Getting There

• Walking

  From the Red Bank train station, head west on West Front Street towards Maple Avenue. Continue walking straight for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Shrewsbury Avenue. Turn left onto Shrewsbury Avenue and walk for about 0.3 miles until it intersects with Monmouth Street. Turn right onto Monmouth Street and continue for another 0.2 miles. At the intersection with Broad Street, turn left. After a short walk, you will find the Red Bank Borough Hall on your right. From here, you can catch a train to New York City.

• Train

  Once you're in Red Bank, make your way to the Red Bank train station. Purchase a ticket to New York Penn Station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Penn Station, follow the signs to the A, C, or E subway lines and take the A or C train towards 42nd Street. Get off at 59th St - Columbus Circle. From there, head east on 59th Street towards Central Park. After a short walk, you will arrive at 764 Doris C Freedman Place, where the General William Tecumseh Sherman Monument is located.

• Public Bus

  From Red Bank, head to the nearest bus stop on Broad Street. Take the NJ Transit Bus #834 towards New York Port Authority. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Port Authority, walk to the nearest subway station, which is located at 42nd Street. Take the A, C, or E subway lines towards 59th St - Columbus Circle. Exit the subway and walk east on 59th Street towards Central Park. You will reach 764 Doris C Freedman Place shortly after.
