Getting There

  • Car

    From High Point State Park, start by heading south on High Point Park Rd. Follow the road until it merges with NJ-23 S. Continue on NJ-23 S for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with I-287 S. Merge onto I-287 S and follow the signs for the George Washington Bridge. After about 12 miles, take the exit for I-95 N towards the George Washington Bridge. Continue on I-95 N for about 5 miles, then take the exit for the George Washington Bridge. Follow the signs to cross the bridge into Fort Lee, NJ. Note: There is a toll fee for crossing the bridge, which is currently $16 for cars.

  • Public Transportation

    From High Point State Park, you will need to drive or take a taxi to the nearest train station, which is in the town of Newton (approximately 15 miles away). From Newton, take New Jersey Transit’s train to Hoboken Terminal. The train ride takes about 45 minutes. Once at Hoboken, transfer to the PATH train to 33rd Street in Manhattan. From there, you can take a bus (Bus 186) or an Uber/Lyft to the George Washington Bridge. This public transport option can take around 2-3 hours depending on connections and waiting times.
