Public Transit
From any location in Jersey City, make your way to the PATH train station. The closest stations to the Met Cloisters are the World Trade Center or 33rd Street stations. Purchase a ticket to the 163rd St. station in Manhattan. Once you arrive at the 163rd St. station, exit the station and walk towards the intersection of 163rd St. and Amsterdam Ave. From there, take the MTA Bus Bx12 or Bx12-SBS towards the Bronx and get off at the stop for Margaret Corbin Drive. The Met Cloisters will be a short walk down Margaret Corbin Drive.

Ferry
Head to the Liberty State Park Ferry Terminal. You can take the Liberty Landing Ferry to Manhattan. Once you dock at Manhattan's West 39th St. Pier, transfer to the MTA subway at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Take the A train towards Inwood-207th St. Get off at the 190th St. station. From here, it’s a 15-minute walk to The Met Cloisters following Fort Tryon Park Trail, which offers beautiful views along the way.

If you prefer to walk, start from the PATH train at Journal Square. Walk to the Journal Square Transportation Center and take a PATH train to 33rd St. in Manhattan. After exiting, walk north on 6th Ave until you reach Central Park. From Central Park, head northwest towards Fort Tryon Park. Follow the path through the park until you reach The Met Cloisters. This will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, but the scenic route is worth it.
