PATH train
To reach The Metropolitan Museum of Art from Jersey City, start by heading to the PATH train station. If you're near the Journal Square station, take the PATH train towards World Trade Center. Once you arrive at the World Trade Center station, transfer to the downtown 1 train at the World Trade Center subway station. Take the 1 train uptown until you reach the 59th Street - Columbus Circle station. From there, exit the station and walk northeast on Central Park South until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left on 5th Avenue and walk until you arrive at 1000 5th Ave, where The Metropolitan Museum of Art is located.

Bus
You can also take a NJ Transit bus from Jersey City to New York City. Check the NJ Transit website for the latest schedules and routes. Once on the bus, head towards New York City and get off at a stop near the Lincoln Tunnel (such as at the Port Authority Bus Terminal). From the Port Authority, walk to Times Square-42nd Street subway station and take the uptown 1 train towards Van Cortlandt Park-242nd Street. Get off at the 59th Street - Columbus Circle station and walk northeast on Central Park South until you reach 5th Avenue. Then turn left and walk until you see The Metropolitan Museum of Art at 1000 5th Ave.

Another scenic option is to take the NY Waterway ferry from Jersey City to Manhattan. Board the ferry at the Paulus Hook or Harborside Terminal. Once you arrive at the Wall Street ferry terminal, walk to the Wall Street subway station and take the 2 train uptown to 59th Street - Columbus Circle. Exit the station and head northeast on Central Park South until you arrive at 5th Avenue. Turn left on 5th Avenue and continue walking until you reach The Metropolitan Museum of Art located at 1000 5th Ave.
