Getting There

  • Walking

    From Lambertville, head south on Bridge Street towards the bridge that crosses the Delaware River. Once you cross the bridge into New Hope, PA, continue straight on Main Street until you reach the intersection with State Route 32. Turn left onto State Route 32 and follow it to the intersection with Route 202. At this point, you can catch a bus (Trans-Bridge Lines) heading to Philadelphia. The bus will take you to the Philadelphia Bus Terminal, from which you can catch a SEPTA train or walk to the Independence National Historical Park.

  • Public Transportation

    From Lambertville, walk to the nearest bus stop on Bridge Street and take the NJ Transit bus #600 towards Trenton. Once you arrive in Trenton, transfer to the NJ Transit train headed to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. After reaching 30th Street Station, take the SEPTA Regional Rail (Trenton Line) to the Market-Frankford Line. Get off at the 5th Street/Independence Hall station. From there, the Independence National Historical Park is just a short walk; head west on Market Street, and you will see the park entrance.

    If you're up for a bike ride, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Lambertville and head south on the Delaware & Raritan Canal Towpath. Follow the towpath until it leads you to the bridge into New Hope, PA. After crossing the bridge, continue biking on Main Street until you reach State Route 32. Turn left and follow the road south to access the bus services to Philadelphia or continue biking towards the city, which is approximately a 30-mile ride.
