Walking
From the center of Red Bank, start at the Red Bank Train Station. Head northeast on Bridge Ave toward Monmouth St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Broad St. Turn left onto Broad St and proceed until you reach the NJ Transit stop at the Red Bank station. Board a northbound train towards New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at New York Penn Station, follow the signs to the subway. Take the A train towards Inwood-207 St or the C train towards 168 St. Disembark at the West 4th St Station, transfer to the F train towards Jamaica-179 St, and get off at the 2nd Ave Station. Exit the station and walk east along Houston St. Turn left on Essex St and you will find Essex Market at 88 Essex St.

From your accommodation in Red Bank, walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus stop. Take bus number 834 or 835 towards New York City. The bus will take you directly to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once you arrive at the terminal, follow the signs to the subway. Take the A or C train from the 42nd St Subway Station towards Manhattan. Disembark at the West 4th St Station, transfer to the F train towards Jamaica-179 St, and get off at the 2nd Ave Station. Walk east along Houston St, turn left on Essex St, and you will arrive at Essex Market located at 88 Essex St.
