Getting There

  • Public Transportation - Train

    From Red Bank Station, take the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line train towards Bay Head. After approximately 12 minutes, get off at the Highlands Station. Once you exit the station, walk north on Bay Avenue until you reach the intersection with Route 36. Turn left onto Route 36 and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will see signs pointing towards Twin Lights State Historic Site. Continue walking until you reach the site at 2 Light House Rd.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Red Bank, take the NJ Transit Bus No. 830 towards Long Branch. Get off at the stop on Route 36 near the intersection with Light House Road. From there, walk along Light House Road for about 0.3 miles until you reach Twin Lights State Historic Site at 2 Light House Rd.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Red Bank. Head towards the waterfront and follow the bike path along the Navesink River.
