Getting There

• Car

  From the visitor center in Bandelier National Monument, head east on NM-4 S for approximately 23 miles. Continue on NM-4 S until you reach the intersection with I-25. Take the exit onto I-25 S towards Las Cruces. After about 12 miles, take exit 299 toward Pecos. Continue on NM-63 N for about 7 miles until you reach Pecos National Historical Park. The park entrance will be on your right. Note that there is a parking fee of $20.00 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.

• Public Transportation

  Unfortunately, there are no direct public transportation options from Bandelier National Monument to Pecos National Historical Park. However, you can take the NM Rail Runner from the nearby town of Los Alamos to Santa Fe. From Santa Fe, you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Pecos National Historical Park, which is about 30 minutes away. Be prepared for taxi or rideshare costs, which can vary.

• Bicycle

  If you are an adventurous cyclist, you can bike from Bandelier National Monument to Pecos National Historical Park. Start by heading east on NM-4 S for about 23 miles. Then, take NM-63 N for approximately 7 miles. This route is approximately 30 miles and may take several hours depending on your cycling speed. Ensure you have sufficient water and snacks, as there are limited services along the way.
