Walking
From the center of Carlsbad, head northwest on N Canal St towards W Texas St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W Main St. Turn left onto W Main St and continue for 0.3 miles. At the intersection with S 8th St, turn right. Continue on S 8th St for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with W Pierce St. Turn left onto W Pierce St and walk for another 0.3 miles. Finally, turn right onto Prospect St and walk for 0.2 miles to reach the La Jolla Recreation Center at 615 Prospect St.

Public Transport
Start at the Carlsbad Public Transit Center on W Main St. Take Bus Route 1 towards the Carlsbad Village. Ride for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the stop at W 8th St & W Main St. From there, transfer to Bus Route 2 heading towards La Jolla. After a 30-minute ride, get off at the La Jolla stop. Walk a short distance east on Prospect St for about 5 minutes to arrive at the La Jolla Recreation Center located at 615 Prospect St.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Carlsbad. Start at the Carlsbad Village and head north on the Coastal Rail Trail. Bike for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Prospect St. Turn left onto Prospect St and continue for 1 mile. You will find the La Jolla Recreation Center at 615 Prospect St on your left.
