Start from the White Sands Visitor Center, located at 19955 U.S. Highway 70, Alamogordo, NM 88310. Exit the center and turn left onto U.S. Highway 70. Walk along the shoulder of the highway for approximately 1.5 miles until you see the entrance to White Sands National Park on your right. Follow the signs for the park entrance.

Once inside the park, continue straight on the main road until you reach the first parking area. This is the main parking lot for the park. From the parking lot, follow the signs pointing towards the Interdune Boardwalk, which is a short walk of about 0.5 miles. The boardwalk is well-marked and accessible, leading you through the stunning gypsum dunes.
