Walking
If you are starting from the White Sands Visitor Center, exit the center and head southwest on US-70 W for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of White Sands National Park. Once you enter the park, continue straight on Dunes Drive for about 5 miles. Keep an eye out for parking areas and pedestrian paths. The Sunset Stroll Meeting Area is located along Dunes Drive, near the end of the road, where it meets the beautiful white dunes. Look for signs indicating the meeting area, and remember to enjoy the stunning views along the way.

Currently, there are no direct public transportation options to the Sunset Stroll Meeting Area. However, you can take a bus or shuttle service to the nearest town (Tularosa) and then walk to Dunes Drive. From Tularosa, head east on US-70 E for about 4 miles until you reach the entrance of White Sands National Park. After entering the park, walk along Dunes Drive for approximately 5 miles until you reach the Sunset Stroll Meeting Area. Be sure to check local schedules for bus services.
