    From downtown Albany, walk to the nearest bus stop at the intersection of State Street and Pearl Street. Take the CDTA bus #12 (New Karner Road) towards the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. The bus runs approximately every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop labeled 'New Karner Rd & Pine Bush Rd'. From this stop, walk northeast on New Karner Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Albany Pine Bush Preserve entrance at 195 New Karner Rd. Follow the signs to the main visitor center.

  • Bike

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Albany. Start at the Empire State Plaza and head east on State Street. Continue onto Washington Avenue and then take a right turn onto New Karner Road. Follow New Karner Road for approximately 2 miles until you reach the Albany Pine Bush Preserve entrance at 195 New Karner Rd. There are bike racks available at the visitor center.
