    If you're in downtown Albany, start at the Albany City Hall located at 24 Eagle Street. Exit the building and head south on Eagle Street towards State Street. Turn left onto State Street and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. As you approach the intersection with Madison Avenue, you will see the Empire State Plaza on your right. Cross State Street and walk into the Empire State Plaza area. Continue walking straight until you reach the New York State Purple Heart Memorial, which is located on Madison Avenue within the plaza.
