Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading to NY-28 W. Depending on your starting location in Hudson Valley, you can access NY-28 W via different routes. Once on NY-28 W, follow the signs towards Kingston. After about 30 minutes, take the exit for Kingston Plaza. You will see Catskill Mountain Railroad at 55 Kingston Plaza, Kingston, NY 12401 on your left. There is parking available on-site, but be aware that there may be a parking fee during peak tourist seasons.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the Metro-North Railroad from your starting location in Hudson Valley to the Poughkeepsie station. From Poughkeepsie, you can catch a Trailways bus towards Kingston. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kingston bus station, you can either walk (about 10 minutes) or take a short taxi ride to 55 Kingston Plaza, Kingston, NY 12401, where Catskill Mountain Railroad is located. Be sure to check the Trailways schedule ahead of time for the most accurate departure and arrival times, as well as any potential costs for the bus fare.
