Car
If you're driving from the northern parts of the Hudson Valley, take the New York State Thruway (I-87) South towards New York City. Exit at Exit 21 (Catskill) and follow signs for NY-23 East. Continue on NY-23 for approximately 15 miles. You will pass through the small towns of Catskill and then Tannersville. Five State Lookout will be on your right at 7604 NY-23, Acra, NY 12405. Look for the parking area on the right side.

If you are coming from the southern parts of Hudson Valley, you can take the Taconic State Parkway North. Exit at NY-23 and turn right onto NY-23 East. Continue on NY-23 for about 10 miles, and Five State Lookout will be on your right at 7604 NY-23, Acra, NY 12405.
Public Transportation
To reach Five State Lookout via public transportation, take a Metro-North train to Hudson Station. From Hudson, you will need to take the Columbia County Public Transit bus (Route 5) towards Catskill.
