If you're traveling by car, start by heading to Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. From there, take the exit for Parker Avenue (Exit 10). Turn onto Parker Avenue, and continue driving for about half a mile. You will see the entrance to Walkway Over the Hudson State Park on your right, just after you pass the intersection with Main Street. There is parking available at the nearby lot.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Metro-North Railroad from New York City to Poughkeepsie Station. Once you arrive at Poughkeepsie Station, exit and head to the bus stop located directly outside the station. You can catch the Dutchess County Public Transit bus route '6' that goes towards the Walkway Over the Hudson. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop at Parker Avenue. From the bus stop, walk a short distance to the entrance of Walkway Over the Hudson, which will be on your left.

If you're biking, you can access the Walkway Over the Hudson via the Hudson Valley Rail Trail. Start in the city of Poughkeepsie and follow the trail until it connects to the Walkway Over the Hudson. There are bike racks available at the entrance for securing your bike while you enjoy the views.
