Continue walking east until you reach the end of the promenade, then turn right onto Route 9G. Follow Route 9G for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with NY-213. Here, you will need to turn left onto NY-213. Continue on NY-213 for approximately 4 miles until you reach High Falls. The D & H Canal Historical site will be on your right at 1315 NY-213. Please ensure to walk safely along the roads as there may not be sidewalks for the entire route.

    If you have a bicycle, start at the Hudson River waterfront and make your way to the bike path that runs along Route 9G. Follow the bike path north until you reach the intersection with NY-213. At this intersection, turn left onto NY-213 and continue for about 4 miles. Keep an eye out for the D & H Canal Historical site on your right at 1315 NY-213 in High Falls.
