Walking
From the center of Hudson, head south on Warren Street toward the waterfront. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 9G. Turn left onto Route 9G and walk for approximately 1 mile until you reach the Hudson River waterfront. From there, you can follow the river bank pathway to Poughkeepsie. This pathway is scenic and will lead you directly to the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum located at 75 N Water St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Expect the walk to take around 20-30 minutes.
Public Transit - Train
From Hudson, walk to the Hudson Amtrak Station located at 2 South 2nd Street. Board a train heading southbound towards New York City. Get off at the Poughkeepsie station, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at Poughkeepsie, exit the station and walk north on Main Street for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto North Water Street and continue walking until you reach the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum at 75 N Water St.
Bicycle
From Hudson, rent a bicycle and head south on Warren Street. Continue until you reach Route 9G and turn left. Follow Route 9G to the Hudson River waterfront. Once at the waterfront, you can ride along the scenic pathway that leads to Poughkeepsie. The total distance is about 2 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes by bike. When you reach Poughkeepsie, follow the signs to North Water Street where the museum is located at 75 N Water St.
