Walking
From the center of Hudson, head east towards the Hudson River. Continue walking along Water Street until you reach the intersection with Warren Street. Turn left onto Warren Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 9. At Route 9, you can catch a bus heading south towards Staatsburg. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop closest to Staatsburgh State Historic Site, which will be near the intersection of Route 9 and Mills Mansion Drive. From there, it's a short walk to the site.

From the Hudson Amtrak Station, exit and walk to the bus stop located on the corner of Front Street and Bridge Street. Take the trailways bus heading south towards Poughkeepsie.
