If you are driving from Hunter Mountain, head southwest on NY-23A. Continue for about 12 miles until you reach the intersection with NY-28. Turn left onto NY-28 and continue for approximately 5 miles. The Ashokan Rail Trail - Woodstock Dike Trailhead will be on your left at 1285 NY-28.

To reach the Ashokan Rail Trail - Woodstock Dike Trailhead via public transportation, first take the bus service from Hunter Mountain to the nearby town of Phoenicia. From Phoenicia, transfer to the Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) bus heading towards Kingston. Get off at the stop on NY-28 near the intersection with the Woodstock Dike. Walk approximately 0.5 miles east on NY-28, and you will arrive at your destination at 1285 NY-28.
