If you are driving, start from the center of Hunter Mountain. Head south on NY-23A towards Tannersville. Continue on NY-23A for about 8 miles until you reach the intersection with NY-28. Turn right onto NY-28 West and continue for approximately 5 miles. Look for the signs directing you to Ashokan Reservoir. The entrance to the reservoir will be on your right. There is parking available at the reservoir.

For public transportation, first take the Trailways bus from Hunter Mountain to Kingston. The bus departs from the Hunter Mountain area and takes about 30 minutes.
