Walking
If you are in downtown Ithaca, start at the Ithaca Commons, which is a pedestrian mall. Head south on Tioga Street (take the street just to the east of the mall). Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Lake Avenue. Turn left onto Lake Avenue and continue walking for approximately 0.2 miles. You will come to a small parking area on your right; this is where you can access Ithaca Falls Trail. The trailhead is located just beyond the parking area, where a path leads to the falls.

Public Transit
From downtown Ithaca, take the TCAT bus route 11 (the bus stop is located at the corner of Tioga and Green Streets). The bus will take you towards the area near the falls. Get off at the stop closest to Lake Avenue. After disembarking, walk down Lake Avenue for about 0.2 miles until you reach the small parking area on your right. The Ithaca Falls Trail starts just beyond the parking area.

If you have access to a bike, you can start from the Ithaca Commons and ride south on Tioga Street, then turn left onto Lake Avenue. Continue on Lake Avenue for about 0.2 miles until you reach the parking area for Ithaca Falls Trail.
