Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Downtown Ithaca, head south on the Ithaca Commons, which is a pedestrian-only street filled with shops and restaurants. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles (approximately 10-15 minutes on foot) until you reach the intersection with Route 34/96 (also known as South Cayuga Street). At this intersection, turn left onto South Cayuga Street.

• Walking

  Continue walking south on South Cayuga Street for another 0.3 miles (about 5-10 minutes). You will pass by various local businesses and the scenic waterfront. Keep an eye out for directional signs to Stewart Park.

• Walking

  As you approach the end of South Cayuga Street, you will see the entrance to Stewart Park on your right at 1 James L Gibbs Dr. The park is located right by the waterfront, and you can access it directly from the street.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you prefer not to walk, you can take the Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) bus. Look for routes that head towards the Southside area; the buses typically run every 30 minutes. Make sure to check the TCAT schedule for the specific route and times. The fare is $1.50, and you can pay with cash or a TCAT fare card. Get off at the stop closest to Stewart Park, which is usually near the intersection of South Cayuga Street and James L Gibbs Drive.
