Getting There

• Train

  From any location on Long Island, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) towards Oyster Bay. If you're starting from New York City, take the LIRR from Penn Station to the Oyster Bay station. Once you arrive at the Oyster Bay station, exit the platform and walk towards the east on Audrey Avenue until you reach the intersection with South Street. Turn left onto South Street and continue walking until you reach the corner of South Street and Sagamore Hill Road. Turn right onto Sagamore Hill Road and continue walking for about half a mile until you reach the entrance of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site at 20 Sagamore Hill Rd.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, you can use the Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) bus system. Look for the N70 or N71 routes that connect various areas of Long Island to Oyster Bay. Once on the bus, request a stop at Sagamore Hill Road. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk down Sagamore Hill Road to reach the entrance of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site located at 20 Sagamore Hill Rd.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in the Oyster Bay area. From the Oyster Bay train station, bike along Audrey Avenue towards South Street, turn left onto South Street, and then turn right onto Sagamore Hill Road. The ride is approximately 1 mile and is a scenic route that will lead you directly to the entrance of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site at 20 Sagamore Hill Rd.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby or are in the Oyster Bay area, you can walk to Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. Start by heading east on Audrey Avenue from the center of Oyster Bay. At the intersection with South Street, turn left and continue on South Street. Once you reach the intersection with Sagamore Hill Road, turn right and walk straight for about half a mile until you arrive at the entrance of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site at 20 Sagamore Hill Rd.
